To kick off the re-launch of PukkaRadio.net, we have none other than DJ Koopa and MC Sparkz. The duo from Birmingham will be kicking off with some awesome Hardcore sounds!!
This one is not to be missed!!

DJ Koopa & MC Sparkz will also host a show every Friday from 8PM till 9PM, this is not just a one off!!

DJ Koopa...
Koopa got his first taste of the UK rave scene back in 1994, when handed a Grooverider cassette from Pandemonium by his cousin. After liking what he heard, he went on to buy various Helter Skelter tape packs, listening to Hardcore and Drum n Bass.
In 1999, Koopa purchased his first set of belt drive turntables of a mate and began collecting Hardcore and Drum n Bass vinyl and practising every day, which eventually led to an upgrade onto Technics 1200's.
After months of perfecting his mixing skills, Koopa's musical taste ventured more towards DnB round about 2000 and was picked up by a local promoter who gave him his first gigs. Since then he has played at venues such as MEDICINE BAR, Q CLUB, THE SANCTUARY and SUBWAY CITY.
In 2005, Koopa started work at Hard To Find Records in Birmingham, where he realised that there wasn't just one genre of music out there, and got a big influence by the more uplifting, euphoric side of things and rediscovered his love for Hardcore.
After buying Hardcore again, he decided to give it a go in the scene, something that he had never done before. After handing out demo mix CD's to various promoters, Koopa was contacted by MC Sparkz who really liked what he was doing and offered him not just a chance to play at his night (WE'RE HARDCORE), but also a residency which he still holds.
Koopa's passion for the 'core has grown ever since with him working on his own production projects and getting feedback from the likes of KEVIN ENERGY, JAMIE RITMEN, FLYIN, CLODHOPPER and PETRUCCIO, and getting more DJ bookings across the UK.
Things can only get better for Koopa now as the partnership with MC Sparkz, resulting in their unique and energetic 2DYSFUNKTIONAL act is getting a really good response from the ravers.

MC Sparkz...
Mc Sparkz has bounced in and out the hardcore scene over the last four years.
Having first started mc'ing to hardcore back in 2005 under the name SPARKZE, one part of a hardcore trio alongside Malcolm Smilez and the then up n coming Mc Static, he is still slowly but surely climbing the ladder of hardcore and never leaves a crowd disappointed. Sparkz prides himself on how he performs on stage and he always goes Out of his way to give 110% in his performance and hits the stage with a
HARD / LYRICALY FAST / ENERGETIC style.
In his time, he has mc'd for many djs including top names such as:Mikee B(top buzz/dreem team) Dj Sy - Brisk - Dougal - Seduction - Breeze - Kevin energy - Mzone - Billy Bunter + many more. He has also warmed up the mic on many occasions for the likes of MC Storm + MC Whizzkid. In his time mc'ing to hardcore Sparkz has mc'd at many raves all over the uk at events such as:
FANTAZIA-NATURAL BORN RAVERS -TASTY-SPUNKY -TOTAL BEDALM-B2T-UNIVERSAL HARDCORE-HARDCORE NATION-INSOMNIA-SUNDISSENTIAL-HIGH SKOOL OF HARDCORE-SHINE-RAVERS REUNITED- B2T VS FRANTIC-DICIPLES OF HARDCORE to name a few. Sparkz has also been involved with many event promotions in Birmingham such as:
Happiness Hardcore/We're Hardcore/Diskotek
and most recently
Now Thats What I Call Hardhouse.
Sparkz has always shied away from studio production and lending his vocals to tunes and Live mixes, until recently meeting DJ Koopa. Koopa understands Sparkz’s taste in hardcore
and Sparkz understands his! And both feel together with the 2DYSFUNKTIONAL label They can bring something different to hardcore. Both with the talent and drive to push themselves
further and further to be heard by ravers all over the country!
