RADIOACTIVE MAN (CONTROL TOWER)
myspace.com

Radioactive Man (AKA Keith Tenniswood) started playing guitar aged nine. All through his teen years he was in various local bands until he discovered the joys of acid house and rave in the early 90's. Weekends were spent going to free parties up + down the country, filling up a van with mates and frequently pissing off the police and authorities culminating in the rave that was Castlemorton. After this scene died down a bit he started to frequent the now legendary clubs like the Drum club, Sabresonic, and Full circle where he met and became friends with Jagz Kooner and Andrew Weatherall of Sabres of Paradise.

Using the minimal knowledge of studios and a keen ear, he did the front of house sound for the Sabres on their support tour with Primal Scream in 95. This was to be a life changing experience. Then became in house engineer at Sabresonic studios where he learned to program and mix. After meeting and working with all sorts of people that used the studios, Keith went to belfast to work with David Holmes and co produced his album 'Lets Get Killed' . He forged a now ten year partnership with Weatherall as Two Lone Swordsmen, when the other members of Sabres where busy with their other band, The Aloof. Fast foward ten years + Keith and Andrew have released 4 albums, 2 for Andrews own label, Emmisions and two for Warp records. Also countless e.p's and 12's and remixed many different artists inc Primal Scream, Spiritualized, Howie B, David Holmes,Stereo Mc's, Lali Puna, St Etienne, Alter Ego, Calexico, Broadcast, Six by Seven, Dot Allison, Slam, and erm, Texas... to name a few.
When Andrew was busy djing every weekend, Keith would get in studio on his own and record his own stuff which was to become his Radioactive Man project.... Has since recorded 2 albums, 'Radioactive Man' and 'Booby Trap' on Rotters Golf Club, and various e.p's inc 'The Uranium e.p ' and 'Dive and Lie Wrecked' . Also remixed the likes of Freq Nasty, Red Snapper, Meat Katie and Tipper.

Things came somewhat full circle when the Swordsmen got a drum kit and blew the dust of a few guitars with their Double Gone Chapel album for Warp in 2004 . Similar musical adventures continue with their newly finished album entitled 'Wrong Meeting', after a tour last year taking in most of the major european festivals.. Keiths djing has taken him all over the planet inc Tokyo, New York, San Francisco, Istanbul, Budapest, Barcelona, Rome, Paris and er Preston. His dj style is underground dancing music taking in Electro, Breaks, Techno and Drum n Bass.

AQUASKY (PASSENGER/777)
myspace.com

Aquasky is a breaks and jungle group comprised of Dave Wallace, Kieron Bailey & Brent Newitt. In early 1995 they got together to produce their own music. Shortly afterwards they sent a demo tape to moving shadow records and the seeds of a musical alliance were sown. The first single
‘Dezires / Images’ (Shadow 64) was released three months later and remixed by Krust (Shadow 64R).

Originally a drum and bass outfit the trio have more recently become involved in the breaks scene originally using the moniker Aquasky vs. Masterblaster to denote their breaks projects and retaing Aquasky for Drum & Bass. The addition of Masterblaster however led to great confusion amongst fans who kept looking for a new member. Due to this Masterblaster has now been dropped and everything is once again being released under the name Aquasky. The trio are also responsible for creating and running the Passenger label established in 1997 (as well as its sister label 777 established in 2004) which continues to release their style of heavy Drum & Bass influenced breaks. Their latest effort is the ‘Teamplayers’ EP which features collaborations with many influential electronic artists including The Breakfastaz, Tayo, The Ragga Twins and Meat Katie.

HUGO (LIVE) (Systematic/Great Stuff)
myspace.com

Hailing from Turin in Italy, Hugo was really young when he had the perception that music is something more than an expression of art. While he was smoking and wondering on his balcony surrounded by the industrial landscapes of Mirafiori blocks, he got his flash of inspiration. After that, classically trained jazz musician Hugo, felt in love with electronic music during the 90's.
Though you can hear Funkadelic, Headhunters and Herbie Hancock behind the curtain, Hugo latest productions are conceived through profound emotional feeling and especially awareness of non-ordinary mental spaces. Following the tradition of his spiritual fathers, Hugo proposes a journey into his style of production. His music is slow, sexy, loose, riff-oriented and danceable.
In order to satisfy his thirst of new sounds, Hugo founded in 2006 Tonimusic Netlabel. Tonimusic is the place in which Hugo's sounds and rhythms have been transformed into a project. Through the works of its artists, Tonimusic Netlabel is proposing an interesting, rhythmic and danceable new form of house music.
Hugo is actually playing all around Europe, visiting the best clubs and festivals of the scene. Above all Goa Club in Rome, Watergate/Berlin, Fabric/London and festivals as Elettrowave festival/Florence, Panorama Festival/Naples. Music is not merely the sound, or the perception of sound, but a means by which perception, action and memory are organized. In Hugo’s live set the beat became more mechanical and the bass grooves became deeper, while elements of electronic funk, latin percussions and melodies are grafted over 4/4 beat. Hugo has been releasing his productions, constantly improving his ability to amalgamate distinct sounds into a cohesive whole. Hugo blends together the artificial and the organic, and uses tension and pacing for a powerful effect on the dancefloor.
After been released on some of the most interesting labels of the scene, Hartchef Discos, Enliven, Tuning Spork and Claque, Hugo’s works have been played by the best DJ’s worldwide. Hugo’s music is not a break with the electronic music of the past, but an extreme re-invention of the music of today.

GARNICA (Galaktika)
myspace.com

Garnica was born in Merida-Venezuela back in 1981. He started to play drums with alternative rock bands while in high school, but it is 1998 when he formed a band called Submarino. They won the most important festival in Venezuela in 2000, recorded an album and toured during three years. In the meantime, Garnica was working with audio software for the electronic sequences in the band. In 2002 he produces ‘De La Oscuridad Al Color EP’, an experimental techno work released in mp3 and spread by the web. Two tracks got licensed on CD in Venezuelan local labels. Some time later, he started playing records in nightclubs, mainly minimal techno and tech-house music... Auftrieb, Studio 1, Force Tracks, Kompakt, Audiomatique, Bpitch, Dial, Italic, Ware, Areal, Gigolo, Regular, to name just a few, were Garnica's influences at that time. His first live act was in a private party at Hilton Hotel in Caracas, using Ableton Live 1.5 with a laptop and a midi controller, both borrowed... Since then, production became an important part of Garnica's daily routine. He played in Colombia and Chile at festivals one year later, getting good reputation in the South American scene. His productions can be found on netlabels such as Microbio, D-A-T-A and Series.

In 2004 he moved to Caracas and worked as a sound enginering in one of the most prestigious sound studios in Venezuela: Jazzmania. He also played almost every weekend in nightclubs like Elmo Bar and La Belle Epoque.

A year later he decides to relocate to Barcelona-Spain, he met Maurice Aymard (Galaktika Records shop owner) and gave him a demo recorded in Caracas. This demo contained some pieces like 'Lovers Sold' and 'Far Away From Home', both released in Garnica's maxi debut 'The Lucky Guy' (2006) published on Maurice's label. Galaktika's owner did not doubt Venezuelan's talent, so they started working together in the shop and label night showcases.

By 2007, Garnica 'Hielo Sobre Arena EP' (GLK012) was released with huge support from djs like Karotte, Laurent Garnier, Antony Collins, Anderson Noise, among others. Gui Boratto licensed the original track for 'Addicted Vol.2' on Platipus Records.

2008 is a great year for the producer, he gets solid in the electronic music scene and produces remixes for NOP (Japan), Iñaqui Marin (Spain), Moombeam (Russia) and Robytek (Italy). 'Sweet how EP' (GLK017) is his third maxi and was supported by Deetron, Daso, Funk D Void, Paulo Olarte, Satoshie Tomie, etc. This recently work encouraged him to produce tracks for other labels like Proton Music, Tanzbar Musik, Trenton Records and many more.
